Odyssey Motorcycles wins at Bike Expo

220108amd.jpgBERTRAND Dubet of Odyssey Motorcycles, France, had a double victory at the weekend as he began the European custom bike show season with two separate show wins at Bike Expo in Padua, Italy.

Bike Expo, which hosts the Italian affiliate round of the World Championship of Custom Bike Building, also played host to two custom bike shows sponsored by Italian bike magazines Freeway Italia and Bikers Life.

220108amda.jpgAfter taking Best in Show, with his reverse-engined, automatic transmission bike V-Rage in the Freeway Italia show, Dubet went on to take first place in Bike Expo’s Chopper and Custom Show, collecting 5,000 euros towards freight and travel expenses to take his bike to the Official World Championship in Sturgis, in August.

The Best in Show winner in the Bikers Life show, JFK, built by Fred Kodlin, took second place in the affiliate show, with third place being awarded to Andreoli Motorcycles, Italy, who was last year’s winner. Both Kodlin and Andreoli receive 1,500 euros towards the expense of taking their bikes to the European Championship of Custom Bike Building in Mainz, Germany, in March.

Vicious Cycles a cool stop-motion motorcycle movie from 1967.

A wild, freewheeling spoof on motorcycle gangs in which tough-looking cyclists, who roam the highways on invisible bikes leaving visible tire tracks, lose the girl to members of a children’s scooter-riding club. A classic parody. Directed by Chuck Menville and Len Janson, 1967.
